Thursday Week 10, Term 2

Tonight the Year 12 students are participating in the Vinnies School Sleepout, and staying at school to sleep outside.

Loving God,

As the Year 12s and staff come together tonight with open hearts,

we are grateful for the chance to stand in solidarity with those who experience homelessness.

As they take part in this sleepout, help us all to grow in compassion and understanding.

May this experience open our eyes to the struggles faced by so many in our community.

We pray for all people who do not have a safe place to sleep tonight—for those who feel cold, afraid, or alone.

Surround them with your presence, and guide us to be people who bring hope, kindness, and dignity to others.

Bless their efforts to raise awareness and support, and inspire them to continue working for justice long after this night is over.

Give us all courage to act, generosity to give, and hearts that care deeply for those in need.

We ask this in your love, Amen.
