Lent - Focus on SACRIFICE: Loving others through small choices

"Do to others as you would have them do to you."

Luke 6:31

SACRIFICE means giving something up or doing something kind to help someone else.

St Mary MacKillop often gave up her own comfort to help children and families in need. She showed us that love means thinking of others first.

During Lent, we can practise small sacrifices that show love.

"Never see a need without doing something about it."

St Mary MacKillop, 1907

Talk About it:

What is something you could give up to help others?

How does it feel when someone helps you?

Why do you think kindness matters?

Act Together:

Choose one small thing to give up this week (extra screen time, sweets, complaining)

Help someone at home or school without being asked
